Do you charge to come out?

Yes — there's a service charge that varies by brand. It covers the trip and the diagnosis. The cost of the repair is separate, and you approve it before any work begins.

Is my washing machine worth repairing, or should I replace it?

We can't give a repair quote accurately until a technician sees it. If you're on the fence, we'll give you an honest estimate first — and if you decide to replace, we'll credit the service charge toward a new washer you buy from us.

How long should a washing machine last?

Most washing machines last 10 to 14 years, though heavy use and hard water can shorten that. Under 8 years with a single failed part, a repair usually makes sense; past 10 with several issues, replacement is often the smarter call.

Is my repair guaranteed?

Every repair carries a 90-day guarantee. If the same problem comes back within 90 days, we come back and fix it free.

Do you repair washers you didn't sell?

Yes, we repair washing machines from 50+ brands no matter where you bought them. The one exception is warranty work: we only do warranty repairs on appliances we sold, so we don't risk voiding your manufacturer warranty.

We speak with the landlord or property manager before scheduling. We keep a credit card on file and pre-charge the service charge, with a $350 pre-authorization so we can approve repairs under $350 on the spot if we can't reach you while the tech is on site. If the tenant doesn't give our technician access at the scheduled time, a second service charge applies for the return trip.

Our GE washing machine suddenly stopped draining and spinning. I called Landers based on the Google reviews, and they did not disappoint. Sean diagnosed the problem, and swiftly returned with the replacement part (it had to be ordered) that fixed our washing machine. I also had great response when I called them. On a side note, and unrelated to Landers’ superb performance, I will never buy GE appliances again! This is an expensive washer (model GFW850SPN4RS) and matching GE dryer that has never worked as well as our previous 20-year old Kenmore appliances. The washing machine has so many options that it we had to put the manual on top of the washer so we can refer to it whenever the machine beeps or the lights blink. The dryer also has many settings. Unfortunately, only one of them completely dries a full load of clothes, and that’s the simple, manual setting of ‘Timed Dry’, full heat and 90 minutes. We spent way too much money on “features” that we never use. Bottom line: Appliance problems -> call Landers! Purchase decisions -> avoid GE!
