It is time to buy your new window air conditioner!

Hello Summer!!!
Get ready cuz the heat is coming to Maryland with the upper 90′s forecast for Wednesday and Thursday! So, if you have been putting off buying a new window air conditioner I suggest you get in your car and head directly to the store and make your purchase. It never fails that a lot of people wait until after they have suffered through a few unbearable nights of intense heat before they finally break down and buy an A/C. What many people don’t know is that there are only a finite number of window air conditioner units available throughout the entire country. The units are almost all imported from overseas (Friedrich is the only brand to my knowledge still made here in good old Texas). The amount of new A/C’s brought in to the USA is limited. Once they are gone you will not be able to find one until next year. I am not saying this to scare you into making a purchase (even though I have some great deals available in 6,000, 8,000, 10,000, and 12,000 BTU units :.). I am telling you what I’ve learned over 30 years of being in the appliance business. DON”T WAIT! The major box stores have to forecast their A/C sales long in advance of the actual summer season (most are ordered in the early fall). I have never experienced units left over at the end of a season. The demand always surpasses the supply! So if you think you may be in the market for a new window air conditioner, start doing your research immediately and buy one sooner rather than later (don’t wait until the beginning of July). Because later may be next year! Let me know if you are having trouble determining the proper size window air conditioner needed for your house. We can help. Remember, Don’t oversize your A/C BTU rating. Less BTU is usually better!!!! I’ll explain why in an upcoming newsletter.
