Then and Now!

Now there are dozens of brands and each brand has multiple designs in each appliance category. For instance, Whirlpool has two distinct styles of top load washers and a front load machine was well. And these washer designs have changed several times in just the last 5 years! The same goes for their refrigerators. It is the ever evolving world of modern appliances. There are brands Smeg, Samsung, LG, Bosch, Electrolux, Wolf, True, Blomberg, Dacor, EuroChef, BlueStar, and on and on it goes. There are styles to suit everyone’s tastes! Electronic controls have revolutionized the options being offered allowing consumers to dramatically control their washing, drying, cooking and refrigeration needs and desires.
The big challenge from the service industry perspective has been staying on top of all the changes, especially the numerous fault codes and flow charts used in helping determine problems that occur in these various appliance brands and their myriad of products. Manufacturers have focused their energy and resources in design and features. Due to these rapid changes the product support side has suffered, often times leaving service companies to fend for themselves.  Thankfully there are associations such as United Servicers Association and Professional Servicers Association that work tirelessly to insure technical training and data is readily available to independent service companies.
Appliance service today is far more involved than it has ever been, requiring a tremendous amount of knowledge and skill. We spend a great deal of time in ongoing training to stay on top of all these changes. If we can ever be of help to you in maintaining or understanding your appliances, please don’t hesitate to call.  We are here to serve!
