Clothes Dryers require a clean lint filter, (also referred to as a lint screen) in order to operate properly. As you can see in the accompanying picture, a filter totally clogged with lint is going to drastically affect the dryers ability to dry your clothes. Please, clean the filter after every use! It will not only help with the speed of drying your clothes while minimizing the cost of operating your dryer, but it will also protect you from risks of a fire. A clogged filter or external venting can result in serious fire damage.
